Cassandra Clare Books // Rant

Cassandra Clare  Hello and welcome to, what I imagine will be, a controversial post. Today's post will be about Cassandra Clare, her books and why I will no longer be buying or reading them.  When I first started watching Booktube, one of the first authors recommended to me was Cassandra Clare. Everyone I watched, had all of her books in shiny, hardback editions and everyone raved about the Shadowhunter world and how amazing it was. Being new and wanting to catch up with everyone, I went out and bought the entire Mortal Instruments series. Not long after I had all of the Shadowhunter books on my shelves (The Infernal Devices, Tales from the Shadowhunter Academy, The Bane Chronicles etc.). I remember marathon reading the Mortal Instruments across the span of a month and all of the books blending together in my mind. I didn't even finish the last book because it just wasn't good. This series was so easily forgettable. The Mortal Instruments has bland writing and anno...

The Medoran Chronicles Book Tag

The Medoran Chronicles Book Tag  Hello and welcome to another post. Today's post will be The Medoran Chronicles Tag. I adore the Medoran Chronicles, which is a fantasy series written by Lynette Noni, a wonderful Australian author whom I love. This tag was originally created by @Bookskay and @Justalittlebitrandom. Now lets get on with the questions. 1. Medora: Alex steps through a doorway and ends up in Medora. If you had the chance to step through a doorway, which fictional world would you want to end up in?  I would definitely want to go to Pyrithian from ACOMAF and visit all the courts. Particularly, The Night Court and Velaris (because my babes), The Summer Court (because it'd be beautiful and sunny and amazing) and The Dawn Court (because that is the court I belong to and I just have to). Sarah J Mass has created such an amazing world and cast of characters. I love all of it. 2. Akarnae: Alex and friends attend Akarnae Academy. Which fictional school would you...

Review - Rebel of the Sands by Alwyn Hamilton

Rebel of the Sands by Alwyn Hamilton  *SPOILERS AHEAD. PROCEED WITH CAUTION* Let me start this review by saying I did not hate this book. I just didn't love it either. I was quite upset because this is such a widely loved book here in the book community and I desperately wanted to be apart of that love. This book was just average to me. I disliked the protagonist, Amani, immensely. She was selfish and overall plain. There were so many times in this book where she could've proved herself as the magnificent, valiant hero everyone claimed her to be but she didn't. More than not, she did the wrong thing to benefit herself and then blamed it on her burning desire to get away from Dustwalk. As a girl, I can definitely sympathize with Amani and understand her struggle but she literally left her best friend (a crippled boy who had been nothing but kind and loving towards her) for dead after he'd been shot in his damaged leg. She never thought about anyone but herself....

Welcome to my Blog

Welcome to my Blog! *does an excited little jig*  Hello and welcome to my first, ever blog post!  This is a very exciting moment for me, as I have always wanted my own Book Blog and am finally creating one. I just recently began posting sixty second reviews on my #bookstagram and would like to expand my bookish endeavors, so here we are.  A little bit about me:  - I turn fifteen years old this month  - I was born in Adelaide, South Australia but currently live in Melbourne, Victoria.  - I'm a Hufflepuff (obviously) and my patronus is a Dolphin. I have done both these quizzes multiple times and every time I do them, they come back the same. I am a Hufflepuff through and through.  - I am a member of the Dawn Court (ACOTAR)  - My two favorite books in the whole wide world are: A court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J Mass and Nevermoor: The Trials of Morrigan Crow by Jessica Townsend.  - My favourite colour is Yello...
